Melody and Andrew said their vows at the Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church nearby and then were followed by their friends and family to Magnolia Plantation for the reception. The carriage house was decorated with trees by Plants Alive that added to the already rustic feel of the Carriage House. Ivory and beige linens and white flowers popped against the foliage and dark wooden setting. The night was filled with amazing food and dancing as everyone celebrated the union of this lovely couple.
A passing shower couldn’t damper this beautiful bride’s day as she did her first look on the red bride on the Magnolia Plantation property, joined by her groom and stunning bridesmaids. Melody’s bridesmaids were each dressed in different long, beige dresses that were beaded and sequined, and were the perfect accent to Melody’s white beaded wedding gown. The décor of the reception also has an ivory and beige color scheme. Both the bridal party’s bouquets and arrangements in the Carriage House were full of white peonies, accented by slight hints of pink. Melody’s bouquet was uniquely arranged in dusty miller with pink and white peonies and roses and bright magenta astilbe. Each table was set with multiple small clusters of white flowers and cotton with hints of pink in vintage glasses and assorted mercury glass votives. The ivory draping stood out against the dark beams and potted trees that lined the center of the venue and led to the dance floor.
After a romantic ceremony at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, guests of Melody and Andrew joined them at plantation for cocktail hour, drinks being served by Squeeze. Friends and family mingled in the carriage house and outside by the fire pit, lit by café lighting. The bridal party was soon announced in, followed closely behind by the newlyweds. The couple shared their first dances and cut their cake by Alisa Channell before stations were opened for dinner. Southern inspired stations by Mosaic included: BBQ sliders, skewers, shrimp and grits and mac and cheese, all presented on vintage wooden stands and boxes to match the décor.
After a night filled with socializing and dancing to the sounds of Epic Charleston, guests made their way outside to give Melody and Andrew a proper send off to continue their night downtown. Friends and family lit a path with sparklers to the white Rolls Royce awaiting the newlyweds. The bride and groom drove away, waving goodbye, ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together!
