Lowndes Grove Plantation: Amy + Eric

Amy and Eric wanted to celebrate their wedding at a historic venue dripping with southern charm so Lowndes Grove was the perfect fit! Their wedding style was classic, romantic, and full of southern elegance. They wanted to blend old southern hospitality with new elements, so their design embraced details inspired by the venues charm and architecture. Seen throughout were neutral colors, distressed textures, and sprinkling a personal collection of authentic antiques throughout. To create a romantic garden feel, their flowers had pops of pale peach and soft blue to bring warmth to the white flowers with lots of fresh greenery. The champagne escort display was a gilded antique wrought iron etagere that was previously owned by the brides great-grandmother as well as the candleabra. Inside of the house, the couple offered a coffee bar complete with their grandmother’s recipe for her locally famous ‘lake cake’. They wanted the wedding to feel like they were hosting a grand party in their own home, and they achieved just that! Amy had all eyes on her when she stepped onto the dance floor in her amazing Oscar de la Renta dress to share her choreographed first dance with Eric and totally nailed that final lift! The cake was designed after the intricate lace detail of the brides dress, and the display was a showstopper! We wish a lifetime of love and happiness to this sweet couple!
