Every year, Pure Luxe Bride invites a College of Charleston student to learn more about the planning biz, and to join the ropes for the busy season ahead. This fall, we're excited to introduce our newest Event Intern Amanda. Amanda grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, on the outskirts of Philadelphia. Amanda moved to the lowcountry when she decided to attend the College of Charleston. Being able to spend afternoons on the beach and enjoy the many outdoor activities that Charleston offers are just a few things that attracted Amanda to CofC. Amanda loves photography and being outdoors and enjoys exploring these passions through the historic city of Charleston. Her love for art and music have taken her to many live concerts. Amanda’s past experience working in the hospitality industry peaked her interest to the world of event planning.
Amanda has a passion for event planning and brings that devotion to her work at Pure Luxe Bride. Amanda’s role with Pure Luxe has her involved from start to finish on each clients big weekend. She arrives early for set up on the day of the wedding, assisting with the various tasks that are required to the success of the event. At the end of the night, Amanda helps with break down and clean up of the venue. During her days in the office and on event site, Amanda works alongside Francesca and Blake to learn the daily tasks that are necessary to developing and producing each client's big day!
Learn a little bit more about Amanda:
What song/artist can someone find playing on your ipod on any given day? Stop Light Observations, they are the first thing I put on if I have to study, clean, or drive long distances.
What is something unique about you, that most people do not know? Even though I live in the South, I love going skiing and miss the snow solely for that reason.
What is your favorite thing about your job? I have always liked being at planned events and once I realized that I could make a career out of planning those awesome events I knew that it was what I wanted to do. I love being able to know that I helped make one of the most important days of someone’s life go smoothly and be just how they want it.
