Real Luxe Wedding: Amy + Craig

This New York City couple had a beautiful southern wedding here in Charleston! Her vision was to have an elegant, glam, and tropical wedding with a palette of gold, blush, white and ivory. The couple fell in love with the avenue of oaks at the Legare-Waring House so they chose to take advantage of that space for their ceremony, and then utilizing the modern, spacious inside of Founders Hall for the reception. The couple was one step ahead of the summer heat by providing their guests with a portable fan that plugs into your cell phone!  Amy's Galia Lahav gown was accessorized with a bouquet of gorgeous naturally hanging orchids by Fox Events. Founders Hall was elaborately decorated with soft draping, lush centerpieces, tons of candlelight, and one luxurious head table with hanging greenery and florals! To take a break from dancing, guests stopped at the slow motion photobooth, grabbed a gourmet popsicle,  and enjoyed a fine cigar. At the end of the night, guests left with mini boxes of Baklavah that were made by the bride's mother, perfect way to end the evening. Congratulations, Amy and Craig!

Boone Hall Elopement: Calla + Thomas

Calla was in love with picturesque Boone Hall Plantation because of its long southern driveway lined with swooping oak trees. She invited her closest family and friends to Charleston for their ceremony followed by an intimate dinner on the back patio. Their family heirloom blue and white porcelain china was our inspiration for the design, accented with green and white florals by Petaloso.  Take peek into this gorgeous intimate wedding styled for the bride and groom and captured by the amazing Aaron and Jillian Photography!

Magnolia Carriage House Wedding: Natalie + Tim

The Magnolia Carriage House was the perfect location for Natalie + Tim's  intimate celebration! The couple first met each other here in the Holy City while Natalie was studying at the College of Charleston and Tim was studying abroad here at The Citadel. They invited fifty of their closest friends and family to witness their "I Do's" under one of Magnolia's many oak trees with the sun peaking through for a beautiful ceremony setting.  Each bridesmaid was uniquely dressed in different colored dresses that coordinated with the color palette of the wedding, Natalie was not afraid of color! The tables were set with garland table runners and pops of flowers, fabulous gold chargers and raspberry napkins. The cake design was inspired by the bold pattern on the La Tavola linens in a soft yellow. Guests enjoyed delicious bites by Salthouse catering and danced the night away! We wish Natalie + Tim the best as they start their married life in Germany!

Magnolia Plantation Elopement: Juliette + Travis

The rain didn't stop this Mr. and Mrs. from having a beautiful and intimate mangnolia plantation elopement ceremony beneath the oak trees! This international couple came all the way from Australia to say their I Do's in Charleston! The couple spent the morning at Zero George getting ready, and then arrived at the plantationrelaxed and excited to get married! The backdrop for the ceremony was a gorgeous floral arbor, complete with white poppies, blush garden roses, and whimsical flairs of greenery. Juliette's bouquet was a perfect compliment to the arbor, with a mix of blush peonies, sweet peas, and trailing silk ribbon. Instead of fighting the rain, Juliette completely accepted the unpredictable Charleston weather, adding adorable rain boots and clear bubble umbrellas. Juliette and Travis had an intimate and personal ceremony with their closest friends having the chance to include classic traditions, and even make some of their own! Instead of having a traditional sand ceremony, the couple chose to use a Polish vodka and an Irish lacquer, reflecting both their heritages, and symbolizing the creation of their new family.  The finishing touch to the day was a vintage couch from 428 Main which created the perfect backdrop for their photos. With champagne in tow, the newlyweds rode in style in their black Mercedes to their dinner reception at McCrady's Restaurant. This adorable elopement ceremony was such a success, and we're so happy for our newest Pure Luxe Couple! When you embrace the rain, you can get amazing photos like these from Aaron + Jillian photography

Legare-Waring House Wedding: Liz + Kenny

Liz + Kenny's Legare-Waring House wedding was a detailed dream come true for these two LA love birds. Liz and Kenny met via mutual friends in 2011, on the same day her school, UNC, defeated his alma mater, UW, in a heartbreaker game during the March Madness Basketball Tournament. Luckily, she was able to mend his heart over cheap Chinese food and they’ve been together ever since. As a contributor to multiple wedding magazines, Liz had seen it all. She wanted a wedding that truly stood out from the crowd, and wowed her LA guests. Liz loved the idea of a bright and colorful wedding inspired by vibrant fall hues that accented the gorgeous property of the historical Legare Waring House. She had a clear vision for a whimsical wedding with beautiful wildflowers accented with watercolors. Wildflowers ran the lengths of the tables and tall pillar candles were scattered throughout to create a beautiful glow. Everyone could tell where the bride + groom were sitting, with vintage green arm chairs from 428 Main, gold chargers, and floral napkins saving their seats.   As the ceremony began, guests were able to see the stunning bridesmaids in their mismatched neutral gowns that complemented each maid perfectly. Of course, we can't forget the boys! Navy suits made a huge impact against all of the greenery and Kenny stood out with his unique Charleston favorite-Brackish bow tie. All heads turned, as Liz began down the aisle in her Jenny Packham dress. Her father walked with her down the colorfully petaled aisle, and she met Kenny underneath an arbor of wildflowers. After this sweet couple read their vows and did the traditional Jewish breaking of the glass, it was time to celebrate! Liz + Kenny met their other true love at the end of the aisle for some pictures, and their dog Whiskey, could not have been more excited for his parents.  Guests enjoyed small bites and cool cocktails with floral printed straws during this beautiful October night. After everyone had said a few sweet words, it was time for these guests to get a taste of some southern cooking. Salthouse catering provided a delicious station of country fried chicken and mac & cheese. For those foodies in the group, guests also enjoyed grilled fish tacos and a gorgeous best of season display. Liz added a special detail by getting her bar signs, station signs, and hashtag signs hand calligraphied on water color printed paper to match her invitation suite. Once dancing began, Liz changed from her simple flower crown into her "party crown."  Big and bold blooms let the crowd know that it was time to put on their dancing shoes!  Of course the night wouldn't have been complete without celebrating the tradition of the Jewish hoorah! Liz + Kenny departed with their guests to keep the party going in downtown Charleston!

Middleton Place Wedding: Helen + Aaron

Helen + Aaron's romantic glam Middleton Place wedding was absolutely stunning! The day began with excitement as Helen and her bridesmaids got their hair + makeup done at the Francis Marion Hotel while Aaron and his groomsmen suited up for the big day on Daniel Island. Then, the wedding party all met at Middleton Place for the bride + groom's highly anticipated first look! Aaron was awestruck when he laid eyes on his beautiful bride for the very first time, and the entire wedding party had so much fun photographing on Middleton's gorgeous, lush grounds pre-ceremony. After the signing of the Ketubah and a toast to the soon-to-be Mr. + Mrs., it was time to tie the knot! Luckily, the rain came to a stop just in time for the Helen + Aaron's nuptials in the picturesque Octagonal Gardens. Standing beneath a custom-built huppa by Wild Flowers Inc., the bride + groom said "I do." In traditional Jewish fashion, Aaron smashed the glass and the guests yelled "Mazeltov!" as the new Mr. + Mrs. happily walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. Helen + Aaron departed the ceremony via carriage ride to arrive for cocktail hour at the pavilion where they sipped and mingled with guests before it was time to be announced into the reception! Mr. + Mrs. Aaron and Helen Bernie were announced onto the dance floor to the sounds of "Sweet Home Alabama" before sharing their first dance to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Sleeping at Last. Lyrics from this song were incorporated into wedding details such as lounge pillows and custom frames that displayed sweet sayings for the couple. Guests enjoyed a stationed meal by Cru Catering, a special hookah area by Tabbuli, and vintage lounge furniture by Snyder. Shades of blush and ivory gave the pavilion a soft ambiance, while the tent outside had an elegant feel complete with platinum drape by Pure Luxe Bride, silver chivari chairs, and a white plantation bar, complete with a custom light-up bar sign. This design was beautiful, and perfect for the occasion! Guests then enjoyed a dessert bar and dancing, including a very special dance to "HORA", where all of Helen +Aaron's family got up into the chair! As the last song of the night approached, everyone got out onto the dance floor for Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" before Mr. + Mrs. Bernie departed through a sparkler archway to their downtown after party! Wishing Helen + Aaron all the best and a big thank you to Trent Bailey for capturing this gorgeous celebration!

Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Shayna + Joshua

Shayna + Joshua's Historic Rice Mill Wedding was certainly a night to remember! This sweet couple traveled from Washington, D.C. to downtown Charleston to say "I do" at the Historic Rice Mill in front of their close friends and family. The day began with hair and makeup by Beauty Asylum for Shayna and her bridesmaids, while Joshua and his buds suited up pre-nuptials. Everyone then met at the Historic Rice Mill, but Shayna was kept hidden from her soon-t0-be husband until the ceremony began. The ceremony took place outside with the Historic Rice Mill as the backdrop. Joshua's mouth dropped wide open when he saw his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. Joshua's father officiated the ceremony and it ended with a dip and a kiss by Joshua that was later painted by Wed on Canvas for the newlyweds to hang and cherish forever! Post ceremony, it was time for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres inside. The color scheme was ivory and navy with sparkly silver accents and special touches by the bride + groom that incorporated their love of wine, such as table markers and different bottles of wine for each table! The table scape was complete with silver chivari chairs and a traditional Southern grits favor for each guest to take home. Their lounge was set up outside on the dock with white leather couches, elegant crystal chandeliers, tall cocktail tables with sequined linens, and silver accent pillows to finish off the look. Guests loved the decor, and the cuisine as well! During the plated dinner, Shayna's father gave a heartfelt speech, thanking friends and family for traveling to Charleston, and sharing stories about the bride + groom's whirlwind romance! After dinner, it was time to cut the cake and dance. Stephen Darby kept the guests on their feet all night and played some crowd favorites, such as Beyonce's "Drunk in Love," while guests enjoyed light-up accessories to use on the dance floor! As this memorable night came to a close, Shayna + Joshua were sent on their way through a sparkler archway into a white Rolls Royce onto their after-party at Trio Downtown. Wishing these newlyweds love and happiness for many years to come!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Anita + Shawn

Anita and Shawn came all the way from New Jersey to have their destination wedding at Magnolia Plantation Carriage House. This couple traveled the world together, got engaged in Africa, and decided to say their "I Do's" in Charleston, SC. Their ceremony was held in front of the oak tree overlooking the Ashley river. PEW's provided vintage church pews for their guests seating with picture frames lining the aisle of the bride + groom as babies growing into their adult life. The bridesmaids looked stylish in their floral printed dressed with astilbe bouquets, we love the print in their outfits! The Carriage House was draped in soft ivory accented with pearls for a feminine touch. Bright blooms filled the table tops in hues of blush, mint, peach, and turquoise. Wooden centerpieces were filled with ranunculus,  hydrangeas, peach lisianthus, coral ranunculus and mint succulents. Mosaic Catering provided delicious eats and fun specialty cocktails for cocktail hour and the reception! The Little White Box, a 1974 Vintage Volkswagen bus, is a traveling photobooth that arrived later in the night for guests to enjoy! Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Elizabeth + Randy

Elizabeth + Randy, a fun-loving couple from Virginia, chose The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation for their big day! This Magnolia Plantation wedding was romantic chic with rustic and elegant vibes, plus shades of ivory, nude, blush, and pops of coral, blush pink, and natural greens. Elizabeth, or "Cricket" as her family + friends lovingly call her, started the day off with hair by Elesyium and makeup by Bellelina. Elizabeth was a vision with a Queen Anne's lace flower crown and bouquet by WildFlowers that was brimming with peonies, hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe, lisianthus, sweet pea, roses, and touches of Queen Anne's lace. Randy wore a white ranunculus boutonniere with a tuft of greenery and tied with an ivory ribbon to accent Elizabeth's bouquet. The nuptials took place on the oyster tabby under a clear tent to shield from the rainy day showers. And who says rain is bad luck on your wedding day? Randall's mouth dropped wide open when he first laid eyes on his elegant, stunning bride. Guests enjoyed drinks and mingling during cocktail hour until the bridal party and groomsmen were introduced into the reception. The bride + groom excitedly made their way in as "Mr. & Mrs. Randall Holmes" and immediately went into their first dance to "Once in a Lifetime" by Landon Austin. Guests were blown away by the reception design that included long and circular tables covered in ivory linens, custom dinner menus in gold font, ample candlelight in rustic gold votives, and tall floral arrangements in clear glass vases with smaller, scattered bud vases and clear glass cubes that all held the wedding florals. Chandeliers were covered with Queen Anne's lace and lush greenery, making for an eye-catching detail that we loved! Pure Luxe Bride softened up the space with ivory drape tiebacks from the ceiling and custom drape for the head table to complete this romantic design. Guests also admired the bride + groom's personal touches, such as the memory tables that Elizabeth + Randall put together with photos of their parents and grandparents, and an extra special piece with a vintage wedding veil from the mother of the bride. Their memory tables were a sentimental way to honor their loved ones who couldn't be there on their big day. Everyone was then treated to a delicious stationed meal by Good Food Catering that consisted of petit grilled lamb chops over cavatappi mac & cheese, grilled asparagus with prosciutto, and more! Post-dinner, wedding cake and s'mores were served while everyone got out on the dance floor to the sounds of DJ Rob Duren! The night ended as everyone danced to "Do You Love Me" by Contours and wished the newlyweds on their merry way! Wishing Elizabeth + Randall joy and happiness, and remembering this beautiful wedding!
