Legare Waring House: Katie + Adam

It was a gorgeous July summer day for this sweet couple to become husband and wife!  Katie + Adam wed at The Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul before returning via ACW Trolley to the Legare Waring House for the reception.  The couple chose vibrant colors of coral, orange, pink and yellow floral arrangements, which looked stunning against the bridesmaid's aqua floor length dresses, yet no one upstaged Katie who looked absolutely stunning in her Hayley Paige wedding gown.  Guests enjoyed drinks and dinner from CruCatering while mingling under the reception tent or taking in the many scenic views of the historic southern home.  Gold IES chandeliers hung from the tent to set the mood for the celebration.  King of Pops arrived to provide guests with a late night snack to cool them off from the Charleston summer heat.  The glow stick straws that guests could put in their drinks were a huge hit and such a fun detail! The night ended with a glow stick departure while Katie + Adam drove away in a 1957Chevrolet Bel Air to spend their first night as husband and wife before heading to Costa Rica for their honeymoon.  We wish you the best, Katie + Adam!

Middleton Place Wedding: Lauren + Gentry

When we think of a classic southern wedding, Lauren and Gentry's Middleton Place wedding immediately comes to mind! These college sweethearts graduated from the College of Charleston and got engaged at the Middleton Place Oak, so it was only fitting for them to invite their friends and family to join them at Middleton Place for their wedding. Lauren spent the morning primping at The Inn, and then headed to the plantation for photos before her ceremony with the gardens as her backdrop, and perfectly accentuated her natural beauty and stunning Modern Trosseau lace gown! Lauren's flowers and color palate were southern perfection, including charm peonies, amaryllis, dusty miller, succulents, fringe tulips, and peonies. There were tears in everyone's eyes as the ceremony began in the Sundial Garden as Gentry saw his bride for the first time. At the close of a heartfelt ceremony, guests were escorted through the Octagonal Gardens to the Crane Pool for cocktail hour, accompanied by peacocks and lambs! Guests were served classic southern appetizers, including oyster shooters, the grooms favorite! But the party really started at sunset as everyone moved to the Middleton Place Pavilion for dinner and dancing with music accompanied .  After a touching blessing by our new groom in his stylish brackish bowtie, guests enjoyed an incredible meal and danced the night away. And what's a southern wedding without corn hole for everyone to enjoy and sweet grass flowers as favors! We loved working with Lauren and Gentry throughout their entire planning process, and wish them only the best with their future lives in Texas together!

Since Megan + Jonathan began their journey when they started dating in high school, they dedicated a wall within the Old Exchange Building to celebrate their journey to the altar. Pictures and other memorable moments were captured on this wall where guests could reflect on the love that this couple shares.

Lighthouse on Shem Creek Wedding: Amelia + Bryan

On April 13th, Pure Luxe bride and groom Amelia and Bryan wed among the sea breezes, boats, and sunsets of Shem Creek. The Lighthouse on the Creek is an amazing venue that offers breathtaking views of the low country and plenty of beautiful sunsets among the marsh shoreline. This beautiful wedding can be described as fun, simple, and natural. Pure Luxe Bride always enjoys being on Shem Creek, especially when celebrating a fun couple such as Amelia and Bryan.

Beautiful colors of light green and white were used to decorate the ceremony and reception of this natural and clean themed wedding. The beautiful back drop of Shem Creek helped to create this theme.

The great thing about the Lighthouse on the Creek venue is its versatility. Amelia and Bryan's wedding ceremony was held inside the venue, which followed with a cocktail hour outside overlooking the water. While guests enjoyed cocktails and mingled, the inside of the venue was transformed into a beautiful reception.

AmeliaBryan_Wedding_461

The ceremony for Amelia and Bryan was sweet and personal, with the father of the bride marrying the couple. At Pure Luxe Bride, we love when brides incorporate unique ideas. During Amelia and Bryan's ceremony, the bride actually turned around and took an instagram photo for #ab413.

Beautiful lighting was used for the reception, which included lanterns placed around the parameter of the dance floor.

The DJ of Finger Snappin' Entertainment had the wedding party and guests on their feet and dancing for much of the reception.

Details of the bride's gown were incorporated into the the cake, what a perfect match to the beading on Amelia's dress!

If getting married on Shem Creek, it is of course necessary that the bride and groom exit in proper style. Amelia and Bryan exited their reception on boat while guests blew bubbles. Who doesn't love the idea of departing by boat?!

Citadel Beach House Wedding: Allison + Michael

On May 11th, Allison and Michael had their destination wedding at The Citadel Beach House. This preppy beach-side wedding celebrated the fun and sweet personalities of the bride and groom. This five acre venue is located on the ocean front of the Isle of Palms and was the perfect location for this nautical, preppy inspired wedding. Allison and Michael exchanged their vows by the beach and continued the celebration with a beautiful reception, also at The Citadel Beach House.

To accent the preppy and nautical feel of this beach-side wedding, Allison and Michael incorporated a navy, white, and green color scheme. The colors were used for the table runners, patterned pillows among Adirondack chairs, and spring floral arrangements.

Thanks to the help of Wild Flowers Inc., the bridal party looked amazing with their fresh, green, and spring inspired bridal bouquets. What a statement these simple yet beautiful arrangements made.

Southern style food stations were provided at the reception by B. Gourmet Catering. Guests enjoyed these southern dishes, as well as miniature desserts and cake with fresh, strawberry filling from The Ashley Bakery.

A Charleston wedding would not be complete without some type of monogram included somewhere on behalf of the couple! Allison and Michael used monogrammed cups from Formosa Boutique, that matched the navy theme, for beverages. What a unique keepsake these cups made!

Flip flops were available for guests who wanted to dance the night away on the dance floor with Rob Duren Productions or take a stroll on the beach.

After a fun beach-side reception where guests danced and enjoyed yummy food and deserts, the bride and groom departed via Charleston Black Cab as wedding guests blew bubbles.
