Middleton Place Wedding: Andrea + Chris

Picture horse drawn carriage rides, oak trees dripping in moss, and spring flowers in full bloom at Charleston's beautiful Middleton Place. This was the setting for Andrea + Chris' romantic, April wedding. Andrea wore a gorgeous lace, open-back gown from Gown Boutique; Chris a handsome, dark gray suit. Andrea and her stunning bridesmaids rode the horse drawn carriage to the ceremony site where Chris awaited his bride's walk down the aisle. Andrea and her father glided down the aisle at the Butterfly Lake's Charleston Virtuosi's playing in the background. After exchanging vows over looking the Butterfly Lakes, Andrea + Chris invited their guests to enjoy "Planter's Punch" and "Arnold Palmer's" under the mossy oaks at Middleton Place's Crane Pool. Cocktail hour took place in front of azalea hill accompanied by scrumptious hors d'oeuvres. The duo took photos with their bridal party and got some truly memorable snapshots together. The light blue table cloths, pink linen napkins and white and pink floral arrangements perfectly complimented the Pavilion. Lanterns were scattered throughout the ceiling's draping to light up the night! Guests followed their escort cards to their assigned table, where they found a mini-bottle of firefly awaiting their arrival with a sweet note from the Bride + Groom. Brick Lane Catering served a delicious three-course dinner with salads, soup and a main course - all of which looked mouth-wateringly delish! The newlyweds cut into their elegant champagne cake by Twenty Six Divine decorated with a cascade of flowers. Guests danced like there was no tomorrow alongside The Dickens, until it was actually time for their departure through a sea of sparklers! William Aiken House Wedding: Kristin + Travis

Who doesn’t love a beautiful  William Aiken House wedding? At Pure Luxe Bride, we certainly do! We had a blast celebrating the marriage of Kristin and Travis on April 26th. The William Aiken House is located on one of the most well-known and busiest streets in downtown Charleston, King Street. Once you walk into the William Aiken House, escaping the hustle and bustle of the streets of Charleston, you are transformed back in time to the elegance and charm that Charleston row houses are known for. The bride and groom had a beautiful wedding at the William Aiken House, incorporating a rustic yet elegant theme.

Pops of green and white were used in flower arrangements and decorative elements. These colors stood out among navy linens and burlap accessories, creating a southern feel.

The wedding ceremony was personal and very sweet. The bride and groom were married by a close family friend.

Wedding guests relaxed in the cigar and reception lounge, both equipped with rattan love seats and chairs that were decorated with navy and burlap pillows. These lounges provided the perfect rest stop for party guest having tons of fun.

Entertainment for the reception was provided by Ascend Entertainment. Wedding guests were dancing the night away to the tunes of this awesome DJ, underneath a beautiful white tent provided by Snyder Event Rentals

The dance floor was lively and the “save your soles” flip flops were life savers for many guests. This creative idea was a hit!

The pastry chef at Patrick Properties has done it again! This hazelnut flavored cake with salted caramel buttercream and chocolate ganache was absolutely amazing.

Kristin and Travis departed their wedding reception in true Charleston fashion, on a Charleston Bike Taxi. Sparklers were used to send the couple off, as party guests soon headed across the street to O-Ku to continue the celebration.
