Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Jenna + Luke

Jenna and Luke's Magnolia Plantation wedding was the perfect day from start to finish! Jenna is an industry friend, and we were so excited when she reached out to us to help plan her big day! Jenna + Luke's passion for nature and horses inspired the equestrian details and all things western which was the perfect vision for the Carriage House. Horseshoes were set at each seat as a guest favor, custom tribal patterned napkins, and dream catchers as the backdrop of their sweetheart table. Their organic florals were full of natural greens and potted terrariums complimenting the laid back environment of the wedding day. Jenna looked stunning in her gorgeous custom gown, but we expected nothing less from a bride that works at a local bridal gown boutique! We wish Jenna + Luke a lifetime of love and happiness! Middleton Place Wedding: Stephanie + Brett

A warm, sunny Saturday afternoon was perfect for Stephanie and Brett’s Middleton Place  wedding. After the couple's intimate first look, wonderfully captured by Dana Cubbage, the ceremony took place in the octagonal garden with the large oak tree and Ashley River as their backdrop. The weather paired perfectly with the couple's light and romantic décor. Pretty in pink, the pavillion was set with gorgeous white and blush blooms and soft draping with mini chandeliers and special bride and groom chairs. The couple loved to travel so as their favor they had a plane shaped bottle opener topping each napkin. The favor was adorned with a tag that read 'let the adventure begin' so cute! This perfectly complimented the couple’s personalities and guests were thrilled as they took their seats for dinner. Following dinner, guests danced under the stars with music provided by Darby Event. We wish Mr. + Mrs. Vlasek love, laughter, and happiness ever after!

Fabulous Friday: rEvent

We love the sense of community that our beautiful Holy City of Charleston encompasses and we love it even more when we get to take part in giving back through our magnificent weddings! rEvent is a Charleston based nonprofit whose mission is to extend the beauty of events in the Charleston area.

Specifically working with the Event industry, rEvent is reducing waste and maximizing re-use through their free of charge service. Instead of throwing away your beautiful floral arrangements at the end of your special day, you, as a donor, can choose from a local list of charitable organizations to donate your gently used wedding day goods. Your wedding details can extend their use that benefits those in need in our community! Your floral arrangements can be picked up on site at the end of the day by rEvent, given a fresh cut and rearranged into bedside bouquets that are hand delivered to your choice of recipient. WOW! Floral arrangements that are not able to be reused are locally composted instead of sending them to landfill. It really doesn't get much better than that.

rEvent is currently delivering repurposed flower bouquetsto MUSC Hospital, MUSC Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, and Our Lady Of Mercy. Even better news is, rEvent doesn't just accept floral donations - they are able to redistribute nonperishable event items such as table linens and votives for efficient reuse within the community to affordable housing initiatives and arts programs. Some of the recipients of nonperishable are Habitat for Humanity & Goodwill.

Allow your floral after party to continue, don't let your beautiful florals go to waste! Donate to rEvent and bring a smile to someone else's face! We love this idea, and we cannot wait to use this service with our Brides.

Planning Tip Tuesday: In Lieu of Favors

Looking for alternate idea to wedding favors for your guests? A different option in lieu of wedding favors is to donate to a charity of your choosing. Pick a charity whose mission statement is near and dear to you as a couple and present it at the wedding so guests know you made a donation on their behalf. This choice of 'favor' would not only allow you to give a little back, but leave your guests feeling good long after they depart the wedding. Another idea is to provide an item that can be used at the wedding and taken home later as a memory. Koozies to keep your beer cold, pashminas for winter weddings, rescue flats for the ladies, place cards such as oyster shells, and the list goes on! There are tons of fun options!

Fabulous Friday: Groom's Gift

While many aspects of the wedding day focus on the bride, ladies, don't forget about your man! On the wedding day, gift him with something that signifies your love and excitement to spend the rest of your life with him. This will set the tone for the day and always be a reminder of that special day! You can do this by purchasing a thoughtful gift (big or small) or writing a handwritten note. Of course, it's always nice if it can be incorporated into his wardrobe or wedding day accessories. It creates a great picture opportunity and will make him feel equally as special on such an important day. Below are some ideas we came up with that he is sure to love!

Magnolia Plantation Veranda Wedding: Samantha + Jeromy

Labor Day weekend was the perfect weather for a Magnolia Plantation Veranda Wedding for Samantha + Jeromy. The couple had their first look under swooping oaks at the plantation captured by Rachel Red Photography. The ceremony began at the wedding garden with the beautiful white bridge as the backdrop. Once they tied the knot, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the front lawn of the house followed by dinner on the porch. Tables were set with garland, gold lanterns and lots of candlelight for a simple, elegant southern look. The bride and groom had a beautiful chandelier hanging over their cozy sweetheart table. Following dinner, drinks, and a lot of dancing, Samantha + Jeromy exited through a tunnel of sparklers as Mr. and Mrs. Hyman!

Magnolia Plantation Carriage House Wedding: Kira + Brent

On a lovely Friday afternoon, Kira + Brent tied the knot at their Magnolia Plantation Carriage House Wedding. After an intimate first look, exquisitely captured by Dana Cubbage, the ceremony was beautifully set up underneath the large oak.  The bridesmaids making their way down the aisle in mismatched burgundy, pink and purple dresses before Kira, looking stunning in her blush tulle gown and bold red lipstick.

Inside the carriage house, the 2 white farm tables, making up the head tables, were adorned with gorgeous centerpieces filled with flowers of sandy pinks, burgundy, and touches of white and green. Pomegranates were incorporated into the tabletop to add some texture and accent the deep fall hues. The wagon wheel chandeliers were embellished with complementary florals to the centerpieces.  After a fun night of eating, drinking, and dancing the night away, the newlyweds departed the reception via vintage Rolls Royce as Mr. + Mrs. Greenberg!
