Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Jackie + Branson

You are in for a treat today! Jackie + Branson had a gorgeous Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding with tons of pretty details! The couple met while attending law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later moved to Atlanta together after dating long distance. The bride loved the little details so for starters, there was a white top tent with blush draping and crystal chandeliers, of course! White and peach hued florals by Branch Design Studio, gold chivari chairs, glass chargers, and plenty of candlelight. For place cards, the guests found their seat by a mint colored macaroon with a gold sparkly flag noting the guests name, perfect after dinner sweet! A delicious dinner was served by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group along with a delicious cake gold brushed cake for dessert. Underneath the big Oak was the half moon bar, with the bride + groom's gold leaf monogram and a chandelier overhead, one of our favorite details of the big day! You can also find their monogram carried throughout the reception on their napkins, favors, menu's and more! After dinner, it was time to dance the night away with Quiana Parler and Friends and end the night with a sparkler departure! You can find this wedding recently featured in Southern Bride Magazine. See all the pretty captured by Aaron and Jillian Photography here!

Legare-Waring House Wedding: Liz + Kenny

Liz + Kenny's Legare-Waring House wedding was a detailed dream come true for these two LA love birds. Liz and Kenny met via mutual friends in 2011, on the same day her school, UNC, defeated his alma mater, UW, in a heartbreaker game during the March Madness Basketball Tournament. Luckily, she was able to mend his heart over cheap Chinese food and they’ve been together ever since. As a contributor to multiple wedding magazines, Liz had seen it all. She wanted a wedding that truly stood out from the crowd, and wowed her LA guests. Liz loved the idea of a bright and colorful wedding inspired by vibrant fall hues that accented the gorgeous property of the historical Legare Waring House. She had a clear vision for a whimsical wedding with beautiful wildflowers accented with watercolors. Wildflowers ran the lengths of the tables and tall pillar candles were scattered throughout to create a beautiful glow. Everyone could tell where the bride + groom were sitting, with vintage green arm chairs from 428 Main, gold chargers, and floral napkins saving their seats.   As the ceremony began, guests were able to see the stunning bridesmaids in their mismatched neutral gowns that complemented each maid perfectly. Of course, we can't forget the boys! Navy suits made a huge impact against all of the greenery and Kenny stood out with his unique Charleston favorite-Brackish bow tie. All heads turned, as Liz began down the aisle in her Jenny Packham dress. Her father walked with her down the colorfully petaled aisle, and she met Kenny underneath an arbor of wildflowers. After this sweet couple read their vows and did the traditional Jewish breaking of the glass, it was time to celebrate! Liz + Kenny met their other true love at the end of the aisle for some pictures, and their dog Whiskey, could not have been more excited for his parents.  Guests enjoyed small bites and cool cocktails with floral printed straws during this beautiful October night. After everyone had said a few sweet words, it was time for these guests to get a taste of some southern cooking. Salthouse catering provided a delicious station of country fried chicken and mac & cheese. For those foodies in the group, guests also enjoyed grilled fish tacos and a gorgeous best of season display. Liz added a special detail by getting her bar signs, station signs, and hashtag signs hand calligraphied on water color printed paper to match her invitation suite. Once dancing began, Liz changed from her simple flower crown into her "party crown."  Big and bold blooms let the crowd know that it was time to put on their dancing shoes!  Of course the night wouldn't have been complete without celebrating the tradition of the Jewish hoorah! Liz + Kenny departed with their guests to keep the party going in downtown Charleston!

Creek Club Wedding: Sara + Jerad

It was a beautiful Creek Club wedding  for Sara + Jerad! Their wedding had tons of color, with pops of peach, coral, pinks and navy blue. Sara and Jerad had a beautiful ceremony outside over looking the water. The Bride had a gorgeous hand tied bouquet of white, blush and hot pink peonies and garden roses along with sweet peas and lisitanthus. Their reception was held inside of the Creek Club, and had gorgeous flower arrangements. The table centerpieces had a low, lush arrangement in a mercury glass bowl of astilbe, ranunculus, hydrangea, garden roses, peonies, majolica spray roses, sweet pea, and lisitanthus. Other floral arrangements varied in the wedding flowers but where ingold glitter glass bud vases. After a delicious stationed dinner, it was time for a family tradition of cookies for dessert! Family members had hand made different assortments of cookies and brought them down to Charleston for the wedding. Yum! Afternight full of dancing, it was time for guests to send the Bride + Groom off with a sparkler departure!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Carissa + Tom

The rainy spring weather didn't stop Carissa and Tom's day from being anything but perfect. This sweet couple hailed from Canada and chose Charleston for a small affair with their closest friends and family. We loved designing this intimate garden style wedding at the Magnolia Plantation Veranda. The lush florals by Branch Design Studio made a dreary day pop! The couple did their first look at Zero George Street which made for the prefect setting with sunlight shining through the window panes. The color palette for the decor was a mixture of pastels-  blush, peach, robin egg blue and spring greens with a touch of gold. The table tops were set with floral vignettes of peonies, garden roses, sweet peas, and light blue delphinium. The head table had a beautiful floral table runner, the vintage charger and gold rimmed glassware were the perfect touch. The Magnolia Veranda provided the perfect backdrop with its large mossy oak trees creating an unspoken breathtaking charm.

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Kim + Scott

As Kim + Scott's guests arrived to Magnolia Plantation Carriage House, they were welcomed by some of the couple's favorite songs like "Steal My Kisses" by Ben Harper and "Grow Old With Me" by Adam Sandler. Right before the bride walked down the aisle, two and a half year old Ethan beared the rings down the aisle in the most adorable tuxedo and executed his job perfectly. A stunning Kim was escorted by her father down the aisle to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, and was greeted at the alter by her beaming groom. The couple exchanged vows and sealed them with a kiss! As the newlyweds walked down the aisle as husband and wife, guests tossed lavender into the air for a one of a kind exit.

Cocktail hour began and guests enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and a specialty, Southern cocktail made with Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade named the "Charleston Palmer". Guests lounged in mix-matched vintage pieces provided by 428 Main that were placed around the dance floor for a laid back atmosphere. The escort cards were handmade tree wood name cards. These wood escort cards were made from trees native to South Carolina - how cool! As guests grabbed their escort cards, they replaced them with a Polaroid photo of themselves to hang on the boards in place of their name card. One photo to keep for themselves and one for the newlyweds to treasure!

Guests entered into the rustic reception with hints of yellows and greens radiating throughout the carriage house.  Guests were welcomed, a blessing was given and dinner was served! The Lowcountry Slider Station offered pulled pork barbecue, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken and mini waffles with all the fixin's! The Southern Comfort Station had mini meat loaf bites and a vegetable succotash. Lastly, the Grits Station offered build-your-own grits! Shrimp, sausage, bacon, cheese and more were used to top the delicious stone ground, cream grits.

After dinner, Kim + Scott bounced back and forth between the dance floor and their guests - never without smiles spread across their faces. Later in the reception, the cake was cut and King of Pops arrived to hand out their oh so delicious ice pops! Engraved forks atop WildFlour Pastry's cinnamon buns were the wedding favors: a perfect late night snack or breakfast for the next morning! Kim + Scott enjoyed one final dance alone before their sparkler exit amongst their closest family and friends.
