Real Luxe Wedding: Amy + Craig

This New York City couple had a beautiful southern wedding here in Charleston! Her vision was to have an elegant, glam, and tropical wedding with a palette of gold, blush, white and ivory. The couple fell in love with the avenue of oaks at the Legare-Waring House so they chose to take advantage of that space for their ceremony, and then utilizing the modern, spacious inside of Founders Hall for the reception. The couple was one step ahead of the summer heat by providing their guests with a portable fan that plugs into your cell phone!  Amy's Galia Lahav gown was accessorized with a bouquet of gorgeous naturally hanging orchids by Fox Events. Founders Hall was elaborately decorated with soft draping, lush centerpieces, tons of candlelight, and one luxurious head table with hanging greenery and florals! To take a break from dancing, guests stopped at the slow motion photobooth, grabbed a gourmet popsicle,  and enjoyed a fine cigar. At the end of the night, guests left with mini boxes of Baklavah that were made by the bride's mother, perfect way to end the evening. Congratulations, Amy and Craig!

Magnolia Carriage House Wedding: Natalie + Tim

The Magnolia Carriage House was the perfect location for Natalie + Tim's  intimate celebration! The couple first met each other here in the Holy City while Natalie was studying at the College of Charleston and Tim was studying abroad here at The Citadel. They invited fifty of their closest friends and family to witness their "I Do's" under one of Magnolia's many oak trees with the sun peaking through for a beautiful ceremony setting.  Each bridesmaid was uniquely dressed in different colored dresses that coordinated with the color palette of the wedding, Natalie was not afraid of color! The tables were set with garland table runners and pops of flowers, fabulous gold chargers and raspberry napkins. The cake design was inspired by the bold pattern on the La Tavola linens in a soft yellow. Guests enjoyed delicious bites by Salthouse catering and danced the night away! We wish Natalie + Tim the best as they start their married life in Germany!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Jackie + Branson

You are in for a treat today! Jackie + Branson had a gorgeous Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding with tons of pretty details! The couple met while attending law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later moved to Atlanta together after dating long distance. The bride loved the little details so for starters, there was a white top tent with blush draping and crystal chandeliers, of course! White and peach hued florals by Branch Design Studio, gold chivari chairs, glass chargers, and plenty of candlelight. For place cards, the guests found their seat by a mint colored macaroon with a gold sparkly flag noting the guests name, perfect after dinner sweet! A delicious dinner was served by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group along with a delicious cake gold brushed cake for dessert. Underneath the big Oak was the half moon bar, with the bride + groom's gold leaf monogram and a chandelier overhead, one of our favorite details of the big day! You can also find their monogram carried throughout the reception on their napkins, favors, menu's and more! After dinner, it was time to dance the night away with Quiana Parler and Friends and end the night with a sparkler departure! You can find this wedding recently featured in Southern Bride Magazine. See all the pretty captured by Aaron and Jillian Photography here!

Legare-Waring House Wedding: Liz + Kenny

Liz + Kenny's Legare-Waring House wedding was a detailed dream come true for these two LA love birds. Liz and Kenny met via mutual friends in 2011, on the same day her school, UNC, defeated his alma mater, UW, in a heartbreaker game during the March Madness Basketball Tournament. Luckily, she was able to mend his heart over cheap Chinese food and they’ve been together ever since. As a contributor to multiple wedding magazines, Liz had seen it all. She wanted a wedding that truly stood out from the crowd, and wowed her LA guests. Liz loved the idea of a bright and colorful wedding inspired by vibrant fall hues that accented the gorgeous property of the historical Legare Waring House. She had a clear vision for a whimsical wedding with beautiful wildflowers accented with watercolors. Wildflowers ran the lengths of the tables and tall pillar candles were scattered throughout to create a beautiful glow. Everyone could tell where the bride + groom were sitting, with vintage green arm chairs from 428 Main, gold chargers, and floral napkins saving their seats.   As the ceremony began, guests were able to see the stunning bridesmaids in their mismatched neutral gowns that complemented each maid perfectly. Of course, we can't forget the boys! Navy suits made a huge impact against all of the greenery and Kenny stood out with his unique Charleston favorite-Brackish bow tie. All heads turned, as Liz began down the aisle in her Jenny Packham dress. Her father walked with her down the colorfully petaled aisle, and she met Kenny underneath an arbor of wildflowers. After this sweet couple read their vows and did the traditional Jewish breaking of the glass, it was time to celebrate! Liz + Kenny met their other true love at the end of the aisle for some pictures, and their dog Whiskey, could not have been more excited for his parents.  Guests enjoyed small bites and cool cocktails with floral printed straws during this beautiful October night. After everyone had said a few sweet words, it was time for these guests to get a taste of some southern cooking. Salthouse catering provided a delicious station of country fried chicken and mac & cheese. For those foodies in the group, guests also enjoyed grilled fish tacos and a gorgeous best of season display. Liz added a special detail by getting her bar signs, station signs, and hashtag signs hand calligraphied on water color printed paper to match her invitation suite. Once dancing began, Liz changed from her simple flower crown into her "party crown."  Big and bold blooms let the crowd know that it was time to put on their dancing shoes!  Of course the night wouldn't have been complete without celebrating the tradition of the Jewish hoorah! Liz + Kenny departed with their guests to keep the party going in downtown Charleston!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Kiera + Brian

Kiera + Brian's Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding was an elegant day to remember! The day began with hair and makeup for Kiera and her bridesmaids in the Lowndes Grove Suite, while Brian and his groomsmen got ready at the French Quarter Inn. Both of these stunning locations made the perfect backdrop for getting ready photos. It's so special to capture the hours leading up to the ceremony! Kiera + Brian opted out of a first look and said "I do" at Saint Luke's Chapel. Kiera looked classic in a beautifully beaded Monique Lhuillier gown. As Kiera walked down the aisle to her handsome groom, she carried a spilling, textural bouquet of peach juliet garden roses, pink maria teresa garden roses, peach tree peonies, cafe au last dahlias, coral peach ranunculus, and more lush blooms. When Brian saw Kiera for the first time, he couldn't contain his excitement. The two said their vows with Brian's father as the officiant. As the newlyweds happily exited, guests made their way to Lowndes Grove Plantation for the reception! The tent was beautifully decorated with long ivory linened tables, mahogany chivari chairs, vintage China, majestic light blue napkins, and gorgeous pops of orange, coral pink, and pink ranunculus in thin clear glass bud vases. The cake was a beautiful shade of light blue with textured detail and vibrant pink maria teresa garden roses and majolica spray roses. The couple had specialty engraved cake forks that read "I do" and "Me too". Extra details we loved were the bride's custom Instagram signs with rose gold frames and place cards attached to vintage keys that doubled as bottle openers! Guests were treated to a plated dinner and a night of lively dancing to the sounds of Stephen Darby. Before the reception came to a close, Kiera + Brian departed under a sparkler archway into their vintage Rolls Royce getaway car. We adored this elegant, vintage design with shades of light blue and pops of vibrant blooms. Wishing this New York couple years of happiness to come!

Middleton Place Wedding: Helen + Aaron

Helen + Aaron's romantic glam Middleton Place wedding was absolutely stunning! The day began with excitement as Helen and her bridesmaids got their hair + makeup done at the Francis Marion Hotel while Aaron and his groomsmen suited up for the big day on Daniel Island. Then, the wedding party all met at Middleton Place for the bride + groom's highly anticipated first look! Aaron was awestruck when he laid eyes on his beautiful bride for the very first time, and the entire wedding party had so much fun photographing on Middleton's gorgeous, lush grounds pre-ceremony. After the signing of the Ketubah and a toast to the soon-to-be Mr. + Mrs., it was time to tie the knot! Luckily, the rain came to a stop just in time for the Helen + Aaron's nuptials in the picturesque Octagonal Gardens. Standing beneath a custom-built huppa by Wild Flowers Inc., the bride + groom said "I do." In traditional Jewish fashion, Aaron smashed the glass and the guests yelled "Mazeltov!" as the new Mr. + Mrs. happily walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. Helen + Aaron departed the ceremony via carriage ride to arrive for cocktail hour at the pavilion where they sipped and mingled with guests before it was time to be announced into the reception! Mr. + Mrs. Aaron and Helen Bernie were announced onto the dance floor to the sounds of "Sweet Home Alabama" before sharing their first dance to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Sleeping at Last. Lyrics from this song were incorporated into wedding details such as lounge pillows and custom frames that displayed sweet sayings for the couple. Guests enjoyed a stationed meal by Cru Catering, a special hookah area by Tabbuli, and vintage lounge furniture by Snyder. Shades of blush and ivory gave the pavilion a soft ambiance, while the tent outside had an elegant feel complete with platinum drape by Pure Luxe Bride, silver chivari chairs, and a white plantation bar, complete with a custom light-up bar sign. This design was beautiful, and perfect for the occasion! Guests then enjoyed a dessert bar and dancing, including a very special dance to "HORA", where all of Helen +Aaron's family got up into the chair! As the last song of the night approached, everyone got out onto the dance floor for Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" before Mr. + Mrs. Bernie departed through a sparkler archway to their downtown after party! Wishing Helen + Aaron all the best and a big thank you to Trent Bailey for capturing this gorgeous celebration!

William Aiken House Wedding: Chelsea + Israel

Chelsea + Israel's William Aiken House Wedding was a gorgeous celebration! Chelsea and her bridesmaids began their day with hair and makeup in the Carriage House Suite at WAH where Paper Dolls glammed up the girls for the big day! The girls wore beautiful silk robes and sipped mimosas all morning long while Israel and the boys got ready on Spring Street in downtown Charleston. When it was time for the couple to meet up for their first look, excitement filled the air at the William Aiken House! Israel's smile was contagious when he first laid eyes on his stunning bride. The bridal party then took photos on the grounds with historic King Street as their background before guests began to arrive! Chelsea +Israel said their "I do's" in an intimate ceremony of sixty guests with Israel's grandfather officiating the ceremony, a very special touch for both the bride + groom. After the ceremony, it was time for cocktails, appetizers, raw bar snacks, dances, and speeches! Chelsea + Israel shared their first dance as husband + wife to "Angel" by Jack Johnson while friends and family looked on happily  at the newlyweds. Once it was time for dinner, guests took their seats upstairs for a plated meal of braised beef short ribs and grouper. The tables were set with navy linens, majestic camel napkins, mahogany chivari chairs, lush pink and white blooms in the centerpieces, floral watercolor menus and place cards, and plenty of candlelight. The upstairs space at WAH served as the perfect spot for an intimate dinner. When it was time to cut the cake, guests were treated to delicious cake and champagne pairings before dancing the night away to the tunes of Rob Duren! The night concluded with everyone singing along to "Closing Time" by Semisonic before they sent the newlyweds off under a neon sparkler departure into downtown Charleston for a romantic rickshaw ride. Wishing nothing but happiness for Chelsea + Israel!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Jaclyn + Oliver

Jaclyn + Oliver's Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding was a gorgeous Southern celebration full of coral, gold, and seafoam green accents! This local couple decided to pay homage to their city and tie the knot in beautiful Charleston with the Ashley River as their backdrop. The day began in the Lowndes Grove suite where Jaclyn and her girls got their hair and makeup done by Paper Dolls while sipping mimosas and relaxing pre-nuptials. When the girls were all glammed up, Jaclyn and her father Don shared a very special father and daughter first look. This is a great alternative if you and your groom opt out of the first look! Once Oliver and his groomsmen arrived on site, Jaclyn was tucked away while everyone lined up for the ceremony. Jaclyn carried a lush bouquet filled with green succulents and coral blooms, tied together with lace and seafoam green ribbons. Oliver's mouth dropped wide open when he saw his stunning bride gracefully walk down the aisle. The soon-to-be newlyweds stood beneath a beautiful floral arbor of garden roses, lisiantus, and succulents as they said their vows in front of their closest friends and family. After Jaclyn + Oliver tied the knot, cocktail hour kicked off under the tent! Elegant long tables filled the room with mahogany chivari chairs. The tablescape was complete with gold rimmed chargers, gold silverware, coral napkins, custom menus, lush blooms and greenery, gold lanterns, and custom gold pineapples! These gold spray-painted pineapples were a hit. A symbol of Southern hospitality and welcome, these gold pineapples were incorporated throughout the wedding on the couple's koozies, as small cake toppers, and as garnishes on the passed hors d'oeuvres. The seafoam green cake was another focal point in the room, complete with gold flecks and Jaclyn + Oliver's initials. Guests were treated to a delicious stationed meal, a custom gelato bar at request of the groom, and dancing the night away to the sounds of Charleston Groove Factory. This band kept guests on their feet all night long! Friends, family, and the elated newlyweds danced to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" before Jaclyn + Oliver departed under an archway of sparklers into their getaway vintage Rolls Royce. We so enjoyed working with this couple on their gorgeous Southern design, and we're not soon to forget those gold pineapples! Wishing Jaclyn + Oliver years of health, happiness, and love.

Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Shayna + Joshua

Shayna + Joshua's Historic Rice Mill Wedding was certainly a night to remember! This sweet couple traveled from Washington, D.C. to downtown Charleston to say "I do" at the Historic Rice Mill in front of their close friends and family. The day began with hair and makeup by Beauty Asylum for Shayna and her bridesmaids, while Joshua and his buds suited up pre-nuptials. Everyone then met at the Historic Rice Mill, but Shayna was kept hidden from her soon-t0-be husband until the ceremony began. The ceremony took place outside with the Historic Rice Mill as the backdrop. Joshua's mouth dropped wide open when he saw his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. Joshua's father officiated the ceremony and it ended with a dip and a kiss by Joshua that was later painted by Wed on Canvas for the newlyweds to hang and cherish forever! Post ceremony, it was time for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres inside. The color scheme was ivory and navy with sparkly silver accents and special touches by the bride + groom that incorporated their love of wine, such as table markers and different bottles of wine for each table! The table scape was complete with silver chivari chairs and a traditional Southern grits favor for each guest to take home. Their lounge was set up outside on the dock with white leather couches, elegant crystal chandeliers, tall cocktail tables with sequined linens, and silver accent pillows to finish off the look. Guests loved the decor, and the cuisine as well! During the plated dinner, Shayna's father gave a heartfelt speech, thanking friends and family for traveling to Charleston, and sharing stories about the bride + groom's whirlwind romance! After dinner, it was time to cut the cake and dance. Stephen Darby kept the guests on their feet all night and played some crowd favorites, such as Beyonce's "Drunk in Love," while guests enjoyed light-up accessories to use on the dance floor! As this memorable night came to a close, Shayna + Joshua were sent on their way through a sparkler archway into a white Rolls Royce onto their after-party at Trio Downtown. Wishing these newlyweds love and happiness for many years to come!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Anita + Shawn

Anita and Shawn came all the way from New Jersey to have their destination wedding at Magnolia Plantation Carriage House. This couple traveled the world together, got engaged in Africa, and decided to say their "I Do's" in Charleston, SC. Their ceremony was held in front of the oak tree overlooking the Ashley river. PEW's provided vintage church pews for their guests seating with picture frames lining the aisle of the bride + groom as babies growing into their adult life. The bridesmaids looked stylish in their floral printed dressed with astilbe bouquets, we love the print in their outfits! The Carriage House was draped in soft ivory accented with pearls for a feminine touch. Bright blooms filled the table tops in hues of blush, mint, peach, and turquoise. Wooden centerpieces were filled with ranunculus,  hydrangeas, peach lisianthus, coral ranunculus and mint succulents. Mosaic Catering provided delicious eats and fun specialty cocktails for cocktail hour and the reception! The Little White Box, a 1974 Vintage Volkswagen bus, is a traveling photobooth that arrived later in the night for guests to enjoy!
