Middleton Place Wedding: Shelby + Nick

To say that Shelby + Nick's Middleton Place Wedding was a night to remember would be an understatement. As guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted with passed champagne to quench their thirst as they took a stroll through the beautiful gardens to arrive at the Octagonal Garden for the ceremony. The bridesmaids looked totally chic in mismatched black dresses and even the flower girl looked adorable in her custom-made black tutu dress and pearl necklace. As Shelby + her father began their walk down the aisle, Nick looked at his bride with awe and soon after, the couple said their "I Do's" in front of a historic tree with the shimmering lake in the backdrop. After their first kiss, the newlyweds were sent off by their guests waving pom-poms and were picked up by a horse-drawn carriage to finish taking pictures. Cocktail hour was held in the garden overlooking the Butterfly Lakes with a strings duo to set the mood. The bride + groom's signature cocktails, Southern Sweetness served in a mason jar and a Yankee Mule in a copper mug, were a hit and the couple joined cocktail hour just in time to have their first dance at sunset. At the end of their first dance, guests were surprised with a fireworks show over the lake to kick off dinner and the reception. Dinner was served in the Greensward under café lighting with beautiful red and black florals and candelabras with Ferrero Rocher place cards. After dinner, everyone got ready to dance the night away under the reception tent with black and white lounge, mini desserts, and a cigar roller! When the night was over, Shelby + Nick were sent off with a sparkler tunnel and were whisked away in a vintage white Rolls Royce.

Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Lacey + Joey

We absolutely adored this romantic glam brunch wedding for Lacey + Joey, a couple from Florida who chose the Historic Rice Mill to serve as the perfect backdrop for their wedding on the water! The day began with hair and makeup by Paper Dolls (and plenty of Starbucks) for the bridal party at the Charleston Place suite. The bridal party + groomsmen then made their way over to the Rice Mill for an outdoor ceremony under a clear tent on the back patio. Who says rain is bad luck on your wedding day?! Pure Luxe Bride rocked the rain plan with swagged light pink drape from the top of the tent and ivory drape at the altar, held back by lush floral tie backs full of white hydrangeas and blush garden roses, creating an intimate ceremony space. Rows of gold chivari chairs lined the aisle that was covered with pink, blush, and white rose petals. Joey's smile was contagious as Lacey gracefully walked down the aisle beside her father. After the ceremony, guests made their way inside for the start of the reception! The room was filled with shades of taupe, peach, blush, ivory, and champagne, as two long tables ran down the center of the space. Clear candle votives were scattered along the length of the table with tall crystal candelabras topped with a spilling arrangement of white hydrangeas, blush sweet peas, blush ranunculus, white amaryllis, and more. Another gorgeous floral arrangement was an elegant hanging garland over the bride + groom's cake, brimming with white majolica spray roses, blush garden roses, white lilac, and more! Branch did an absolutely beautiful job with these flowers. Textured linens and taupe loveseats completed the lounge's chic look. Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch, complete with a juice and coffee bar, by Good Food CateringChucktown Sound kept the guests on their feet as they danced the day away before it was time to send off the happy couple through a cloud of bubbles! Tessa + Joe at Magnolia Plantation Carriage House

Tessa + Joe's military wedding at Magnolia Plantation was complete with pops of color, lanterns, coral charm peonies, and their furry friends! The ceremony was held outside on the dock overlooking the Ashley River, and the reception took place in the Carriage House. During the ceremony, Tessa + Joe introduced their Love Lock to symbolize their unbreakable love. The couple and parents had their own lock which they locked to a frame and threw the keys into the water. How sweet!

In the Carriage House, white drapes aligned the doorways, custom patterned table runners, and lanterns surrounded by colorful blooms. After a delicious plated dinner and speeches, it was time to cut the ombre ruffled cake. After the reception, guests lined the walkway to send Tessa + Joe off with a sparkler departure!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Christy + Brad

It was a perfect day for Christy + Brad's Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding. This couple wanted their wedding to encompass all of the joy and beauty that their life-long friendship has brought them, and what better way to celebrate their journey than having a plush wedding alongside the Ashley River?! Christy + Brad, accompanied by their intimate bridal + groom parties, said their "I do's" beneath the beautiful southern Oaks. Shortly after the ceremony, the newlyweds entered their glamorous cocktail hour to "Bear Down," the Chicago Bears fight song. Their entrance helped them bring a little piece of home to Charleston! Inside the plantation home, the happy couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious raw bar while watching the sun go down over the Ashley River. Following cocktail hour, Christy + Brad shared their first dance to one of their favorite songs, "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw. Guests enjoyed a mouthwatering five course meal and delicate macaroons, designed to match Christy's plush theme. Pink and silver accents were spread throughout the tablescapes and lounge area, including a custom cigar bar and specially made accent pillows. To end this glamorous celebration, Christy + Brad were sent off by their guests through a sparkler archway. The happy couple departed in a vintage limo on the way to their after party to continue the fun! A big thanks to Dana Cubbage and Film Anywhere for capturing this beautiful day!

Real Luxe Party: The Knot Market Mixer

Pure Luxe Bride was honored to have been asked to design and plan The Knot's Charleston Market Mixer for the second year in a row! The event took place March 19th, outdoors behind the Gibbes Museum of Art in downtown Charleston. Pure Luxe Bride's very own Francesca and Blake dreamed up this incredible design, layout, and decor and worked with some of Charleston's top vendors to make this vision come to reality. Over 250 of Charleston's wedding industry professionals attended the event and we couldn't have been happier to see so many familiar faces supporting us. Let's hear from the girls at PLB themselves...."When deciding on a venue, we knew we wanted it to be completely outside with open air. The Gibbes was the perfect place for this as it is truly a blank canvas. Our inspiration for this event came from a color palate that's not often used for weddings and we were dying for some bright hues. We created this 'Moroccan Glam' look based off of a bold color palate with touches of sparkle and gold. One of our favorite ways to incorporate unique design elements into an event is by adding custom fabric that can be mixed into all décor aspects. The 'kaleidoscope' fabric that we chose for the front panels of the bar is what we used to create the vision for the entire event. You can see this pattern integrated in all of our stationary and design details. For this event, we really wanted to express our individual design style as you can see in the table arrangements, tabletop chandeliers, fuchsia seat cushions, and station displays. We decided to go a different route with our station signs by using plates with mini easels as a way to show what's being offered which we are really loving! Take a closer look at these images to really get an eye for Pure Luxe Bride design."

Mosaic catered the event with the most delicious, Moroccan cuisine-inspired stations. At the Meatball Bar, guests could choose from Classic Beef, Chicken, and Potato meatballs, with Classic Tomato Sauce, Spicy Teriyaki or Gorgonzola Cream, topped with either Crispy Basil Leaves, Savory Onion Straws or Crunchy Rice Noodles. The Mediterranean-inspired Antipasti table was a plethora of roasted vegetables like zucchini, carrots and asparagus; squash, okra, artichokes, and tomatoes. The Antipasti was complemented by hummus, pimento cheese, tzatziki sauce and green olives, all offered on the side. What Moroccan themed event isn't complete without a flatbread station?! With three delicious options to choose from at this station, all of our guests were sure to find something yummy to munch on throughout the event.

To compliment the Casablanca cocktail fountain, Squeeze On Site created two scrumptious Sangria recipes for guests to enjoy. The first was Sweet Honey White Sangria; the other, a Mixed Berry Limoncello Sangria - both were filed with color! The circular maude bar was decked out with colorful cocktail stirrers, hand-painted napkins and paneled with specialty fabric!

Without help from all of our wonderful vendors, The Knot Market Mixer wouldn't have been the same! We must thank Aaron Nicholas Photography and Film Anywhere Productions for capturing every unique detail and moment on film! Everything from the gold sparkly table runners to the custom-made hot pink seat cushions, from Connie Duglin, complimented the Moroccan-inspired evening perfectly. Rewined Candles set up next to the registration desk and offered free candles to the first 25 guests to arrive. Meghan and Demi from Pink Dot Beauty Bar offered their makeup expertise via their "smooch bar". Tabbuli set up hookahs at each of our fabulous lounges; with the assistance of "hookahristas", guests enjoyed flavorful hookah and hookah bubble blowing all night long! Wed on Canvas stood by our rockin' band, Charleston Groove Factory, and captured the entire evening in a painting which was auctioned off for charity at the end of the evening. The stunning invitations, bar signs, programs and more were created by The Silver Starfish. Our rental and technical teams deserve a huge shout out too: Snyder Events, Innovative Event Services, and Stage Presence Event & Production Rentals.

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Jackie + Matt

On August 10th, beautiful Lowndes Grove Plantation was decorated with elegant, classic, and garden inspired decor for the wedding celebration of Jackie + Matt. We had the pleasure of working with this sweet couple to create an elegant affair that would be remembered for years to come!

Jackie and Matt said ‘I Do’ at Grace Episcopal Church in front of family and friends. This sweet ceremony was followed by a celebration at Lowndes Grove, where guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner and a night of dancing to great music.

This was the first time we were able to experience a "First Look" with the Bride and her Daddy. There wasn't a dry eye in sight! Brides that want to be traditional with seeing your groom when you walk down the aisle, consider a First Look with the other most important man in your life, your Daddy.

Lilac, coral, and ivory shades were found throughout Lowndes Grove. This color scheme, along with beautiful flower arrangements by Lotus Flowers, created an elegant atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

Jackie looked gorgeous in her wedding dress with a lace overlay, complete with a gorgeous champagne sash. After the ceremony and seated dinner, Jackie transformed her gown by taking off the lace overlay, revealing a fun white dress underneath. This look was perfect for her reception, which Jackie completed with a bling sash.

Patrick Properties treated guests with a seated plated dinner. Guests chose from entree’s of chicken, ravioli, or swordfish. This delicious meal left guests full and ready to celebrate Jackie + Matt on the dance floor. The band Permanent Vacation provided entertainment.

nicwed1238 nicwed1639

Jackie + Matt incorporated many unique decorative items into their reception. A mirrored bar, pretty mix matched frames, and a cigar station were just a few things that the couple got creative with. These unique touches looked gorgeous among the beautiful landscape of Lowndes Grove.

A lowcountry wedding is not complete without a sweet, southern treat to enjoy. Jackie + Matt gave delicious pralines to guests as a wedding favor. As always, these sweet treats were enjoyed by all.

Jackie + Matt "Same-Day Edit" with Film Anywhere Productions

For the Pure Luxe Bride and Groom, we know that capturing every detail on the day of your wedding is oh so important! We are so fortunate to work with and suggest to our clients amazing photographers and videographers. For the moments that simply cannot be captured in photo, we suggest selecting a videographer. Recently we had the pleasure of working with Film Anywhere Productions. One of the unique add-on items that Film Anywhere Productions offers is the same-day edit. What is a “Same Day Edit”? If you haven’t experienced a Same Day Edit at a wedding before then you are in for quite a treat! Try to take a step back and imagine it is your wedding day.... those special moments spent with friends and family...

getting ready for the ceremony...

the actual ceremony...

then the fun times at the reception!

Now imagine towards the end of your reception a highlight video of your big day being played for all in attendance to see! The behind-the-scenes moments! Things you may have missed yourself! All there for you to see and take in before you leave for your honeymoon! This is what we and it is our specialty! While everyone is off enjoying the food, music, dancing and fun during the reception, we are off in the background filming those finishing touches and editing your video to be shown! We cannot tell you what a huge impact this can be at the end of the evening, the only way you can understand it is to experience it!

Our most recent Pure Luxe couple, Jackie + Matt, had a beautiful wedding at Grace Episcopal Church and a reception full of celebration at Lowndes Grove Plantation. Film Anywhere Productions captured not only the beauty and decor of these amazing venues but, also the sweet moment that Jackie + Matt had prior to walking down the aisle. This video showed Jackie + Matt exchanging gifts that they had bought for each other. Among the happy tears, smiles, hugs, and laughter captured by the bride and groom, this video captured Jackie + Matt’s love for each other. Below you'll find their Same-Day Edit:

The Knot SC Market Mixer

We are so honored to have been chosen as the planner for The Knot's first ever South Carolina Market Mixer! As the offical planner and design team for this event, we chose the first day of Spring for a reason, to host a lush Charleston Garden Party in a downtown Charleston location- Marion's In The French Quarter. The sounds of the string trio from Classical Charleston filled the air while color pops of coral, green and gold were incorporated throughout our decor, custom paper by Wined & Designed,  floral by Wild Flowers Inc. and lighting and lounge by Event Works Rentals.
