Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Lea + JJ

This Magnolia Plantation wedding proved to be the perfect venue for  our newest Mr. and Mrs., Lea and JJ Gillis! The sun was shining throughout the ceremony, where the cpuple's sweet dog made an appearance, and throughout the reception on the Veranda. After the bride spent the morning primping and relaxing with her bridesmaids at the Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston, Lea arrived at Magnolia Plantation and shared some gorgeous pre-wedding photos with CM Photography amongst the gardens. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the porch of the plantation house, where they mingled with guests and enjoyed the sounds of Palmetto Stings with a specailty cocktail in hand. As the reception began, everyone enjoyed an incredible meal courtesy of Mosaic Catering! Instead of a tent, Lea and JJ opted for an open air reception with cafe lighting, which looked absolutely stunning as the sun began to set. . It's all in the details when it comes to making your wedding unique, and one of our favorite details of the night was the glamorous crystal chandelier over the rustic mahogany bar. But, you can't have a wedding without cake, or rather  cupcakes for this fun-loving couple!  Lea and JJ danced the night away under the stars and finally made a grand exit complete with sparklers!

William Aiken House Wedding: Janice + Mark

Janice + Mark's  William Aiken House wedding was a night to remember! Jennifer Bearden knocked this one out of the park, capturing every detail of the day beautifully! The bride + groom said "I Do" under a crystal chandelier with an ombre petals lining the aisle.  Of course its not a Pure Luxe wedding without a little glitz and glam and these dinner tables were done right! Gold trumpet vases filled with mounds of hydrangeas and peach roses by Loluma, candlelight,  and gold utensils to pull it all together! The reception tent was peach-perfect! With Quiana Parler and Friends playing the jams,  guests danced the night away! As the night came to an end, Janice + Mark were sent off by their guests with a sparkler exit. They rode off on an adorable bike taxi- the perfect ending to their ever-so-perfect day!

Creek Club at I'on Wedding: Caitlin + Chris

Caitlin + Chris had a beautiful romantic wedding at the Creek Club this summer! Their first look captured by Jennifer Bearden Photography seriously has us swooning! Their creek side ceremony overlooking the water provided a beautiful backdrop for their vows to take place.  Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the wrap around porch with rocking chairs and lounge for guests to relax and enjoy the waterside view. The bride + groom incorporated southern charm into their wedding including their new monogram hanging over the fireplace and a gorgeous drape adding a soft touch to the room.  Other cute details were the adorable escort cards, custom cocktail napkins, and pink peony florals to top it all off! King of Pops arrived during dancing to cool down guests with their delicious homemade pops before the couples grand sparkler departure!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Lauren + Jeffrey

June 27th was a beautiful day at Lowndes Grove Plantation for Lauren and Jeff's summer wedding! We love the classic black and white color scheme with pops of chevron.  Lauren wanted to let Lowndes Grove's beauty speak for itself, and that it did! The brides hand tied bouquet was a mix of ivory and blush calla lilies, her favorite flower. Lauren and Jeffrey got married on the front lawn under the Oak tree with the Ashley River as their backdrop. The tables had the perfect vignette of pink hydrangeas, blush blooms, and lanterns. The bride + groom also provided mini lanterns as a thank you to their guests. How cute!  This couple was absolutely stunning, just see for yourself!

Founder's Hall Wedding: Rebecca + Jarrett

This brides dream was to have a winter wedding, and that is exactly what she got. Rebecca + Jarrett had their wedding at Founder's Hall on a cool December day. Their colors were red and black with a custom black and white print incorporated into the decor. This winter classic was a great way to end the year!

Let's start with the dress...Rebecca looked absolutely beautiful in her ball gown dress. We couldn't picture her in anything more perfect. She entered into the ceremony to the sounds of Jimmy Ryan the bag piper that certainly made an entrance.

After this sweet couple said "I Do" cocktail hour took place on the patio and inside the great hall. Dinner  was a true southern meal provided by Home Team BBQ complete with pork, chicken, and delicious mac and cheese. Guests enjoyed spending time outside standing around the roaring fire pit. After dinner, the couple cut their cake which was a three-tiered white cake with cranberry garnish.

As true South Carolina fans that they are, they had their mascot "Cocky" make an appearance at the reception. The guests had a blast dancing and taking pictures with Cocky and the bride + groom were in gamecock heaven.  It was certainly a great ending to a wonderful evening that Pure Luxe Bride was so happy to be apart of.

Pure Luxe Bride loved planning and designing this Founder's Hall wedding.

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Anne + John

Pure Luxe Bride always has a wonderful time working with couples at Magnolia Plantation Carriage House. The southern charm of this venue always creates a timeless effect on any wedding celebration. For Anne and John’s special day, Pure Luxe enjoyed creating a traditional, simple, and romantic celebration for such as sweet couple. The couple wed in a day ceremony surrounded by loved ones. After tying the knot, the couple enjoyed a celebration inside the carriage house, complete with brunch and DJ services. Anne and John were greeted at their reception by many family members and tons of friends that extended all the way back to high school, what a loved couple!

What better way to enjoy time with friends, family, and the newlywed couple than with a delicious brunch catered by Mosaic? Stations served brunch items such as omelets, french toast, shrimp and grits, and a mouth-watering pastry tower, complete with muffins, biscuits, fruit, and scones! And we can't forget the mimosas and Bloody Mary's, always a brunch favorite!

As if the brunch menu wasn’t the perfect treat that left guests stuffed, guests made room for desert, which was provided by Cupcake. Anne and John cut a large vanilla cupcake during their cake cutting celebration. Guests were treated to black bottom, key lime, lemon, salted carmel, and bourbon pecan flavored cupcakes. This desert menu screamed southern charm!

DJ services were provided by Finger Snappin' Entertainment. DJ Burt kept guests dancing as he played today’s hits. The atmosphere was lively and fun on the dance floor as guests of all ages celebrated Anne and John.

Weddings that are unique stand out and are remembered by guests. Anne and John’s wedding celebration was unique in that it was a day wedding. What a wonderful concept! Guests were able to enjoy the beautiful Magnolia Plantation and celebrate a loving couple. With brunch, delicious deserts, and DJ Burt commanding the dance floor, guests enjoyed celebrating the newlywed couple.

Anne and John’s Magnolia Plantation wedding can best be described as traditional, simple, and clean. A color palette of white, green, and yellow were used to achieve this look. Linen’s were kept simple in a classic ivory shade, with a green accent used to contrast. This design looked amazing within the timeless atmosphere of Magnolia Plantation.

Lighthouse on Shem Creek Wedding: Amelia + Bryan

On April 13th, Pure Luxe bride and groom Amelia and Bryan wed among the sea breezes, boats, and sunsets of Shem Creek. The Lighthouse on the Creek is an amazing venue that offers breathtaking views of the low country and plenty of beautiful sunsets among the marsh shoreline. This beautiful wedding can be described as fun, simple, and natural. Pure Luxe Bride always enjoys being on Shem Creek, especially when celebrating a fun couple such as Amelia and Bryan.

Beautiful colors of light green and white were used to decorate the ceremony and reception of this natural and clean themed wedding. The beautiful back drop of Shem Creek helped to create this theme.

The great thing about the Lighthouse on the Creek venue is its versatility. Amelia and Bryan's wedding ceremony was held inside the venue, which followed with a cocktail hour outside overlooking the water. While guests enjoyed cocktails and mingled, the inside of the venue was transformed into a beautiful reception.

The ceremony for Amelia and Bryan was sweet and personal, with the father of the bride marrying the couple. At Pure Luxe Bride, we love when brides incorporate unique ideas. During Amelia and Bryan's ceremony, the bride actually turned around and took an instagram photo for #ab413.

Beautiful lighting was used for the reception, which included lanterns placed around the parameter of the dance floor.

The DJ of Finger Snappin' Entertainment had the wedding party and guests on their feet and dancing for much of the reception.

Details of the bride's gown were incorporated into the the cake, what a perfect match to the beading on Amelia's dress!

If getting married on Shem Creek, it is of course necessary that the bride and groom exit in proper style. Amelia and Bryan exited their reception on boat while guests blew bubbles. Who doesn't love the idea of departing by boat?!
