Barn at Walnut Hill Wedding: Nikki + Carl

Nikki + Carl said their vows in front of the ruins of an old chimney at The Barn at Walnut Hill.  This low country gem tucked away on John's Island was the perfect complement to the style of this sweet couple. The Barn was transformed into an elegant bohemian reception space. Vintage floral plates were to die for, and the space truly came together with the florals that perfectly accented the china. The wildflower inspired design was even taken up into the ceiling. The old chandelier that came with the barn was draped in flowing greenery and sprigs of lavendar, a perfect example of taking advantage of the full potential of a venue! Nikki + Carl were the definition of sweet tooth's! Following dinner, guests were offered 7 different kinds of desserts provided by Swank! Who even know Peach Iced Tea Macaroons existed?! If that wasn't enough, Nikki provided a candy buffet for guests to take a sweet treat home at the end of the night. Nikki + Carl ended their night sitting around the fire pit laughing with friends and family. Thanks to Cana Mcdonald with Riverland Studios for capturing the pretty!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Rachel + Dan

In celebration of the next chapter of their lives together, Pure Luxe Bride and Groom Rachel + Dan shared a beautiful summer wedding at Magnolia Plantation Carriage House. This rustic yet elegant inspired occasion was the perfect celebration, enjoyed by family and friends. The bride and groom exchanged their vows outside among a beautiful, southern landscape with a picture perfect view of the lowcountry waterfront. After saying ‘I Do’, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio with live music by the Calvin Taylor Band. Rachel and Dan then invited their guests to a delicious, family style meal inside the carriage house, provided by B. Gourmet Catering. The rustic and southern feel of the Carriage House provided the perfect venue for this romantic, natural, and rustic inspired wedding. The couples sweet personalities were seen throughout their wedding day. Personal touches and romantic elements were incorporated to highlight the couples love for each other.

Light pink, ivory, and shades of tan were used to accent the romantic and elegant theme that the bride and groom were trying to achieve.

Rachel and Dan entertained wedding guests with great food and entertainment. Music was provided during the ceremony and cocktail hour by the Calvin Taylor Band. After enjoying cocktails and a delicious meal, guests gathered around the dance floor where the bride and groom shared a unique first dance to “The Wobble.” This creative first dance kicked off the dance party, provided by the DJ of Lee Edwards Entertainment.

Rachel and Dan’s wedding incorporated several DIY elements. Creative details, such as DIY centerpieces and burlap table toppers, were used to achieve the rustic elegant theme. The couple even used an old window pane to indicate the seating arrangement for guests. What a creative and unique touch these DIY projects provided.

To incorporate their religious roots, the couple used a unique guest book idea. As guests arrived, they highlighted within a Bible their favorite verse and left their signature. Not only did guests find this idea personal and sweet but, Rachel and Dan will have this keepsake for years to come.

Beautiful floral arrangements were created by Wild Flowers Inc.. Among these arrangements that decorated the reception, table names were created by using the names of cities that were significant to the bride and groom.

To accent the elegant and romantic theme that Rachel and Dan created for their big day, the couple exited through a tunnel of sparklers, where a 1970 Cadillac DeVille awaited them at the end.
