Let me start this off by saying how truly lucky we are to be surrounded by such beautiful venues in Charleston, South Carolina. We are continually in awe of the beauty and history that surrounds us here. With that being said, Pure Luxe Bride has narrowed it down to our Top 5  plantations (in no particular order) that give the ultimate fairy tale Charleston Wedding. 1. Middleton Place

Middleton Place is  home to America's oldest landscaped gardens. Every where you step on this vast plantation is a stunning picture opportunity. With peacocks roaming the land and flowers blooming all year long, what is there not love?

2. The Old Wide Awake Plantation

We recently took a walk through at this plantation and fell in love with it all over again. We could of spent the whole day just listening to the enriching history. This home is filled with southern grace in it's natural setting. The live oaks and green ivy says it all! Oh and lets not forget, this is where Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon got married!

3. Lowndes Grove Plantation

This waterfront estate gets us every time! We cannot get enough of the sunset looking over the Ashley River, it truly is breathtaking.  This historic three story house with the grand lawn and glass piazza make for a lovely evening.

4. Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

This venue offers four different event locations and we love them all!  Each location is so versatile, we love being able to turn a blank canvas into every brides dream! The red and white bridges are a staple backdrop of this Plantation and make such pretty photos!
