William Aiken House Wedding: Jess+ Justin

This anthropology inspired wedding was truly an eye catcher. Jess incorporated her own fun personal style into the entire design of the event. The wedding took place at the historical William Aiken House in downtown Charleston. The ceremony space was set up in front of the brick carriage house and an Indian inspired printed runner down the aisle for Jess to walk on as she entered the ceremony.

Jess' dress was boho chic with bits of lace on the upper bodice and shoulders. Her bouquet by Wild Flowers was a show stopper, with long limbs of ivy cascading down. Each bridesmaid picked their own dress to show off their individual flare, the combination was gorgeous!

Upstairs the table sets were topped with gold flatware, and gold rimmed plates and glasses. The floral print napkin was complimented by an ivory menu card decorated with flowers. At the end of the night, Jess has the napkins wrapped with twine and given in sets of 8 to close family members and friends to remember the night.

The bride + her dad started the traditional father daughter dance to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong while the guests were crowded around the dance floor under the stars. To everyone's surprise, midway through the song Jess and her dad broke out into their own choreographed dance that they had rehearsed. It was a special treat for the guests, and illuminated the love between this dad and daughter pair.

The Emerald Empire Band  started to play Journey, "Don't Stop Believing" to finish out the night and send off the bride + groom. As the song was playing, colorful monogrammed tambourines were passed out to the guests, and this quickly became one of our most departures! The sweet couple were swept out onto King St. to continue the fun night with their family + friends.

William Aiken House Wedding: Zoe + JP

We absolutely loved Zoe + JP's romantic glam wedding at the William Aiken House in downtown Charleston! Their design included textured silver linens, a white tent complete with silver swagged drape, and accents of chandeliers throughout, giving the space a romantic feel.  The lounge area was complete with ivory studded couches and silver accent pillows. Upstairs, the tables were fully set for the stationed dinner with a light pink menu card atop a silver napkin, tying in the color scheme throughout the space. The bride carried a lush bouquet of peonies, garden roses, dusty miller, and white sweet peas. During this sweet couple's first look, the groom's mouth dropped wide open when he saw his bride for the first time. We loved all of their first look shots! The ceremony took place under the pergola on the lawn, with a chandelier hanging over Zoe + JP as they said their vows. The couple's two dogs joined the wedding party on their walk down the aisle, adorned with bowties and flower wreaths around their necks. After cocktail hour, there were many happy tears as Zoe and her father danced to "Gracie Girl" by Ben Folds Five.  DJ Wade kept the crowd (especially the bride + groom) on the dance floor all night long with his upbeat jams. At the end of the night, the newlyweds exited under a picturesque sparkler archway onto King Street. Thank you so much to Hyer Images for capturing these amazing shots!

William Aiken House Wedding: Megan + Tim

Megan + Tim's shabby chic William Aiken House wedding was a beautiful sea of purples and greens illuminating the W. And who says short wedding dresses don't steal the show? The bride was wearing a beautiful short lace wedding dress that showed off her unique style and fabulous wedding shoes! And who better to capture the evening than Hyer Images, take a look at these stunning photos! 019047099189

This sweet couple exchanged vows right before sunset under a stunning floral arbor done by Branch Design Studio. Their smiles and laugh were truly contagious and radiated throughout the night. They danced together for the first time ever as Mr. and Mrs. Vogler to " In My Life " by The Beatles. Rather than the typical band or DJ as entertainment, they couple had a string quartet play throughout the night. It was a romantic and classic addition to the evening.

No guest left this party hungry! They had a late night snack of chicken and waffles, a true southern staple! To top it all off, they had a fried sweets dessert station complete with donut holes, cheesecake rangoon, and cinnamon apple pie eggrolls, yum! The newlyweds left under a tunnel of sparklers held by the people who love them most.

William Aiken House Wedding: Lauren + Michael

We could not have been happier to share Michael + Lauren's big day with them! This couple radiated love and every guest shared in their joy as they said “I do” at the William Aiken House in historical downtown Charleston. The color scheme consisted of gorgeous neutrals, complimented by black - bringing quite the old-timey feel.

Michael + Lauren added their special touches throughout the entire ceremony and reception! As guests walked through the gates, it was easy to spot the handmade corn hole boards engraved with the newlywed's names. The bride also brought a little piece of home to her wedding; guests’ place cards were cookies made to look like New York subway signs - so cute!

Following a sit down dinner, guests hit the dance floor and enjoyed the musical styling of the amazing Quiana Parler and Friends. The band sang their rendition of “All of Me” by John Legend, as a surprise for the bride and groom as they shared their first dance. Michael + Lauren and their guests didn’t get off the dance floor until it was time to go, love was truly in the air for this one!

These fabulous vendors helped to make Lauren + Mike's wedding possible.
