Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Shayna + Joshua

Shayna + Joshua's Historic Rice Mill Wedding was certainly a night to remember! This sweet couple traveled from Washington, D.C. to downtown Charleston to say "I do" at the Historic Rice Mill in front of their close friends and family. The day began with hair and makeup by Beauty Asylum for Shayna and her bridesmaids, while Joshua and his buds suited up pre-nuptials. Everyone then met at the Historic Rice Mill, but Shayna was kept hidden from her soon-t0-be husband until the ceremony began. The ceremony took place outside with the Historic Rice Mill as the backdrop. Joshua's mouth dropped wide open when he saw his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. Joshua's father officiated the ceremony and it ended with a dip and a kiss by Joshua that was later painted by Wed on Canvas for the newlyweds to hang and cherish forever! Post ceremony, it was time for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres inside. The color scheme was ivory and navy with sparkly silver accents and special touches by the bride + groom that incorporated their love of wine, such as table markers and different bottles of wine for each table! The table scape was complete with silver chivari chairs and a traditional Southern grits favor for each guest to take home. Their lounge was set up outside on the dock with white leather couches, elegant crystal chandeliers, tall cocktail tables with sequined linens, and silver accent pillows to finish off the look. Guests loved the decor, and the cuisine as well! During the plated dinner, Shayna's father gave a heartfelt speech, thanking friends and family for traveling to Charleston, and sharing stories about the bride + groom's whirlwind romance! After dinner, it was time to cut the cake and dance. Stephen Darby kept the guests on their feet all night and played some crowd favorites, such as Beyonce's "Drunk in Love," while guests enjoyed light-up accessories to use on the dance floor! As this memorable night came to a close, Shayna + Joshua were sent on their way through a sparkler archway into a white Rolls Royce onto their after-party at Trio Downtown. Wishing these newlyweds love and happiness for many years to come!

Lowndes Grove Plantation Wedding: Stephanie + Chad

Stephanie + Chad's classic  Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding couldn't have been more perfect! These out-of-owners traveled from North Carolina to have their dream wedding in Charleston at the picturesque Lowndes Grove Plantation. Stephanie looked breathtaking in her Modern Trousseau gown as she walked down the aisle of St.Lukes chapel with her father to "Rondeau" by Mouret. Her lush bouquet was full of white peonies and white ranunculus with accents of dusty miller, lavender sweet peas, white fringe tulips, white patience garden roses, and more!  As guests began to arrive at Lowndes Grove for the reception, Stephanie + Chad warmly welcomed them into the house for cocktail hour while guests enjoyed delicious sips and bites. The clear tent was gracefully draped in ivory with chandeliers glistening from the top.  At each place setting, guests found their names written in gold calligraphy on Magnolia leaves with sprigs of rosemary, olive, and lavender accenting each napkin. Long table garlands full of magnolia leaves, olive branch, and seeded eucalyptus filled the tables, with colorful pops of white fringe tulips, white ranunculus, and lavender sweet peas. Gold silverware, gold rimmed glasses, and custom menus by Silver Starfish completed this elegant table setting.  Guests enjoyed a delicious 3 course plated dinner while the sounds of big band music by Joe Clarke Big Band flooded the tent.  This fantastic night had to come to an end, but not before guests enjoyed a variety of mini desserts and one more song by the band before departing in the vintage Rolls Royce!  Thanks so much to Aaron and Jillian for capturing all this pretty and best wishes to the sweetest couple, Stephanie + Chad!

William Aiken House Wedding: Erin + Gibb

We are still swooning over Erin + Gibb's glam wedding at the William Aiken House! These South Carolina natives chose downtown Charleston to host their dream wedding, and it was truly a day to remember. After getting ready at IOP, The couple met at William Aiken House for their first look where Gibb could not take his eyes off of Erin! As guests began to arrive for the ceremony, the wedding party was tucked away for last minute laughs and sips before Erin's father walked her down the aisle to the sounds of Seth G playing "A Thousand Years". Erin's lush bouquet by Branch was full of white patience garden roses, blush Japanese ranunculus, white sweet peas, jasmine vine, all tied together with an ivory ribbon. Cocktail hour began shortly post-ceremony with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres of pear & almond brie, duck confit, bacon wrapped scallops, and tuna tartar.  Happy tears then filled the room when Erin and her father danced to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw, and Gibb and his mother to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. Following dances, stations were open and ready for guests to enjoy!  Guests tables were decorated with tall, fluted glass vases full of lush white larkspur, stemmed candleholders with floating candles, and textural gold mercury glass. After guests enjoyed dinner, it was time to cut the cake, drink champagne, and dance! This red velvet and lemon cake was in beautiful shades of pink, gold, and ivory, tying in the wedding colors. Then, it was time to dance Quiana Parler's and friends! Special details included custom pink and taupe cozies for drinks, a wedding piñata guest book, "Drunk on Love" cocktail napkins with gold foilg,  and light-up sunglasses and glow sticks for late night! The couple was then sent off via rickshaw through a sparkler departure into downtown Charleston!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Elizabeth + Randy

Elizabeth + Randy, a fun-loving couple from Virginia, chose The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation for their big day! This Magnolia Plantation wedding was romantic chic with rustic and elegant vibes, plus shades of ivory, nude, blush, and pops of coral, blush pink, and natural greens. Elizabeth, or "Cricket" as her family + friends lovingly call her, started the day off with hair by Elesyium and makeup by Bellelina. Elizabeth was a vision with a Queen Anne's lace flower crown and bouquet by WildFlowers that was brimming with peonies, hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe, lisianthus, sweet pea, roses, and touches of Queen Anne's lace. Randy wore a white ranunculus boutonniere with a tuft of greenery and tied with an ivory ribbon to accent Elizabeth's bouquet. The nuptials took place on the oyster tabby under a clear tent to shield from the rainy day showers. And who says rain is bad luck on your wedding day? Randall's mouth dropped wide open when he first laid eyes on his elegant, stunning bride. Guests enjoyed drinks and mingling during cocktail hour until the bridal party and groomsmen were introduced into the reception. The bride + groom excitedly made their way in as "Mr. & Mrs. Randall Holmes" and immediately went into their first dance to "Once in a Lifetime" by Landon Austin. Guests were blown away by the reception design that included long and circular tables covered in ivory linens, custom dinner menus in gold font, ample candlelight in rustic gold votives, and tall floral arrangements in clear glass vases with smaller, scattered bud vases and clear glass cubes that all held the wedding florals. Chandeliers were covered with Queen Anne's lace and lush greenery, making for an eye-catching detail that we loved! Pure Luxe Bride softened up the space with ivory drape tiebacks from the ceiling and custom drape for the head table to complete this romantic design. Guests also admired the bride + groom's personal touches, such as the memory tables that Elizabeth + Randall put together with photos of their parents and grandparents, and an extra special piece with a vintage wedding veil from the mother of the bride. Their memory tables were a sentimental way to honor their loved ones who couldn't be there on their big day. Everyone was then treated to a delicious stationed meal by Good Food Catering that consisted of petit grilled lamb chops over cavatappi mac & cheese, grilled asparagus with prosciutto, and more! Post-dinner, wedding cake and s'mores were served while everyone got out on the dance floor to the sounds of DJ Rob Duren! The night ended as everyone danced to "Do You Love Me" by Contours and wished the newlyweds on their merry way! Wishing Elizabeth + Randall joy and happiness, and remembering this beautiful wedding!

Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Kimberly + Clint

Kimberly + Clint's Magnolia Plantation Wedding was a beautiful, intimate gathering for the happy couple! The bridal party started hair and makeup bright and early with Paper Dolls in the Carriage Suite at Magnolia Plantation, while the groom and his groomsmen got ready together offsite. With rain on the horizon and a desire for pictures on Magnolia's lush grounds, the couple opted for a first look (although not originally planned) and the pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! We were overjoyed that Kimberly + Clint got the shots they wanted, and it just goes to show that with a little trust, everything will turn out just fine, rain or shine! Following the couple's impromptu first look, the ceremony took place under the oaks with a view of the water as Kimberly + Clint said their vows to each other. Kimberly carried a hand-tied bouquet by Wild Flowers filled with white and green hydrangeas, garden roses, white ranunculus, blush pink lisianthus, and more, plus fabulous pops of bright pink ranunculus. Following the ceremony, Mosaic Catering kicked off cocktail hour with gourmet mimosas in pineapple, orange, and cranberry flavors and bloody marys, complete with celery, pickled vegetables, cracked pepper, bacon swizzles, and a variety of hot sauces. Passed hors d'oeuvres were also served, including chicken dipped waffle bites, yogurt parfaits, and apricot chicken salad. Next, the newlyweds were announced into the reception as "Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thomas" and they shared their first dance to "At Last" by Etta James. The bride + groom then welcomed their guests to the reception and invited them to enjoy brunch! Brunch stations were set around the room, including His + Hers omelettes, Charleston grits, and an assortment of biscuits. This spread by Mosaic was simply delicious! Tables were adorned with lush centerpieces in rustic wooden boxes and locally made and wrapped pralines as a sweet treat for guests! Rustic-chic lounge was set in the middle of the space in front of Kimberly + Clint's sweetheart table, complete with basket weave chairs for the sweet couple. Ivory drape by Pure Luxe Bride softened the space and tied the design together perfectly. Guests had a wonderful time on the dance-floor dancing to tunes by DJ Rob Duren. At the end of this lovely day, the new Mr. + Mrs. were happily sent on their way with a bubble send off! Thanks so much to Aaron + Jillian for capturing all this pretty!

Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Lacey + Joey

We absolutely adored this romantic glam brunch wedding for Lacey + Joey, a couple from Florida who chose the Historic Rice Mill to serve as the perfect backdrop for their wedding on the water! The day began with hair and makeup by Paper Dolls (and plenty of Starbucks) for the bridal party at the Charleston Place suite. The bridal party + groomsmen then made their way over to the Rice Mill for an outdoor ceremony under a clear tent on the back patio. Who says rain is bad luck on your wedding day?! Pure Luxe Bride rocked the rain plan with swagged light pink drape from the top of the tent and ivory drape at the altar, held back by lush floral tie backs full of white hydrangeas and blush garden roses, creating an intimate ceremony space. Rows of gold chivari chairs lined the aisle that was covered with pink, blush, and white rose petals. Joey's smile was contagious as Lacey gracefully walked down the aisle beside her father. After the ceremony, guests made their way inside for the start of the reception! The room was filled with shades of taupe, peach, blush, ivory, and champagne, as two long tables ran down the center of the space. Clear candle votives were scattered along the length of the table with tall crystal candelabras topped with a spilling arrangement of white hydrangeas, blush sweet peas, blush ranunculus, white amaryllis, and more. Another gorgeous floral arrangement was an elegant hanging garland over the bride + groom's cake, brimming with white majolica spray roses, blush garden roses, white lilac, and more! Branch did an absolutely beautiful job with these flowers. Textured linens and taupe loveseats completed the lounge's chic look. Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch, complete with a juice and coffee bar, by Good Food CateringChucktown Sound kept the guests on their feet as they danced the day away before it was time to send off the happy couple through a cloud of bubbles! Thanks so much to Aaron and Jillian for capturing this gorgeous Historic Rice Mill Wedding!

Boone Hall Wedding at The Cotton Dock: Megan + Blake

We still can't get enough of Megan + Blake's rustic chic Boone Hall Wedding at the Cotton Dock! This wedding was full of thoughtful details that made for a beautiful night to remember! The day began with hair and makeup for Megan and the girls by Paper Dolls on Isle of Palms, while Blake and the boys suited up at Wild Dunes. Everyone met at Boone Hall Plantation for the bride + groom's long-awaited first look! With the combination of this couple's style + the natural beauty of the plantation grounds, these pictures came out utterly perfect. When it came time for the ceremony, dark skies were on the horizon, but Pure Luxe Bride quickly rocked the rain plan and held a standing ceremony for guests on the dock under the overhang. Wine barrel cocktail tables served as impromptu aisle markers and the lounge furniture was used to seat the immediate family of the bride + groom. The bride was a vision of elegance as she walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Something in the Way She Moves" by James Taylor. Her organic bouquet by Branch was blooming with white astilbe, white ranunculus, white sweet peas, dusty miller leaves, Queen Anne's lace, pale yellow poppies, soft blush ranunculus, and more, tied together with an ivory lace ribbon. Megan also wore a flower crown with loose stems of baby's breath, spirea, and white majolica spray roses. Post-nuptials, cocktail hour kicked off with the wedding's signature drink, local Firefly sweet tea vodka + lemonade in a mason jar, and passed hors d'oeuvres by Cru Catering. Guests then made their way to their seats at dark-wood farm tables decorated with white lace runners, wooden boxes filled with a spilling arrangement of soft yellow ranunculus, white lilac, apricot parrot tulips, and more, vintage blue mason jars filled with candles, and milk glass bud vases with peachy blush sweet peas. Vintage books with hand-painted gold numbers served as the table markers and mahogany stained wooden wine crates filled with sheet moss and queen annes lace housed the guest's place cards. A mouth-watering plated dinner was served to guests while Megan's matron of honor gave a heartfelt speech to the newlyweds. After dinner, it was time to cut the three-tiered cake by Sablee made up of champagne cake with wild strawberry and champagne filling, coconut cake with coconut cream filling, and vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling. Guests enjoyed cake and mingling while dancing to the sounds of Epic Charleston all night long! A few of our other favorite details from this elegant reception included the chandelier above the dance floor covered in a lush, organic arrangement of flowers and the vintage, distressed mirrors hanging on one of the back walls. As the night came to an end, the new Mr. + Mrs. danced to "Is This Love" by Bob Marley before happily departing through a sparkler archway! Magnolia Plantation Wedding: Melania + Nicholas

Melania and Nicholas are London locals who envisioned a southern-styled wedding with green accents and plenty of charm to match their graceful personalities. The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation was the perfect venue on a September day for this international couple. Melania designed her ceremony programs to fold out into a fan, providing each guest with a cool breeze during the ceremony. The Hunter green and gold accents aligned with mahogany beams and amber lighting created a fun-filled, family-oriented wedding. A celebration of love, family, and unity, Melania + Nicholas and their guests shared in a very special blessing, and Scottish rituals, adding a personal touch to this perfect wedding. Completing the evening with s'mores by the outdoor fire pit gave everyone one last opportunity to cherish the romantic night.

Historic Rice Mill Wedding: Katie + Ben

Katie + Woody were married at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church with their reception held at the Historical Rice Mill on the Charleston Harbor. The colors reflected the military uniform with navy and ivory incorporated throughout the reception area with green accents.

Once guests entered the candle lit reception, they were greeted by a large ice sculpture of the couples new last initial "W". The sculpture sat above a raw bar filled with oysters and shrimp for cocktail hour. The couple had wedding bingo set up on the bar and on guest seated tables to play throughout the night. For desert, their was a full cupcake bar provided by Sugar Bake Shop. Each flavor of cupcake was sitting on a unique platter provided by the bride. The flavors included Vanilla Blueberry, Chocolate Mint, Cranberry Almond, and Red Velvet. The couple did a traditional military sword cutting for their cake cutting. This crowd got down to Charleston Groove Factory, and the bride even got on stage to play drums with the band! After walking through a paper airplane tunnel, the newlyweds departed on the grooms motorcycle at the end of the night!
